As we prepare to scale, we are looking for a Fundraising & Investment Strategy Intern to assist in fundraising preparation, investor outreach, and financial modeling.

Role Overview

The Startup Fundraising & Investment Strategy Intern will work closely with the founder to prepare for fundraising, engage with angel investors, and develop financial projections to support ShineQuo’s next growth phase. This role is perfect for someone interested in venture capital, startup fundraising, and financial planning. You will gain firsthand experience in startup financing, investor relations, and business strategy while working in a high-growth, impact-driven environment.

Responsibilities

Fundraising & Investor Outreach

• Assist in identifying and reaching out to angel investors, venture capital firms, and accelerator programs.

• Research potential funding opportunities, including grants, venture competitions, and early-stage investment programs.

• Help draft fundraising materials, including pitch decks, executive summaries, and investor updates.

• Support in scheduling and preparing for investor meetings, ensuring all necessary financial and strategic documents are ready.

Financial Modeling & Projections

• Build and refine financial models to forecast ShineQuo’s revenue, expenses, and growth projections.

• Conduct unit economics analysis to assess the viability of business and pricing strategies.

• Work on budgeting, cash flow planning, and financial reporting to ensure ShineQuo is investor-ready.

Market Research & Competitive Analysis

• Conduct research on market trends, competitors, and investment activity in the student wellness and ed-tech sectors.

• Analyze successful fundraising case studies and develop insights to refine ShineQuo’s investment pitch.

Strategic Growth & Business Planning

• Assist in defining ShineQuo’s growth strategy and milestones for investor discussions.

• Support in preparing applications for startup accelerators, fellowships, and pitch competitions.

• Collaborate with the founder on business development initiatives related to fundraising and scaling.

What We’re Looking For

• Strong interest in venture capital, startup fundraising, and early-stage investing.

• Experience or coursework in finance, venture capital, investment banking, or startup strategy.

• Ability to build and refine financial models and projections (Excel proficiency preferred).

• Strong research and writing skills for investor outreach and market analysis.

• Passion for startups, ed-tech, mental wellness, and high-growth businesses.

• Proactive, self-motivated, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
